My name is David Schoneveld. Where do I begin? My father, a relentless entrepreneur from Holland, can only truly enjoy a glass of beer or wine if its the cheapest. My mother's family has been in California since the gold rush, where they made, and in subsequent generations lost, a fortune. At age two I stopped being the baby of the family with the birth of my sister Anneke. Through adolescences I required more attention than all my 4 other siblings combined, they're making up for it now. When I was 14 I had to deliver newspapers in 3 feet of snow. In high school with mild, undiagnosed dyslexia, I was a poor test taker. Yet with a talent for cheating, and a gift for the arts, I was able to make it into, and graduate from, Penn State University. In 1996 there was a brief moment where I may have skimmed through the entire internet. My career in typing and moving the mouse has spanned the gambit of tent-pole Hollywood visual effects to video game development and now virtual reality. I'm well versed in bad English accents and have a penchant for sarcasm.
My name is Derek Hughes. I am a magician, stand-up comedian, actor, and family man. Raised in Minnesota, I live in LA with my wife and two young boys. Top 10 Finalist on season 10 of NBC's Americas Got Talent. Top booked act on college campuses across the United States. Corporate host. Thrice nominated for "Parlour Magician of the Year" by the Magic Castle.
